Math Night May 6th – Play math games with your friends at math night! 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm. Students have made math games for all to enjoy! Bring the family, play some games, eat some pizza and learn math! Students who attend and lead others in their game will receive extra credit.

Decades Day – Tuesday – Contest for the best decade representation

Marvel Day – Wednesday-

Grade Level – 6th green, 7th blue, 8th purple, 9th red – grade level with the most color earns gaga ball time!

Promotion  Our 8th grade promotion will be on May 23rd at 10:00 a.m. It will be taking place at The Vail Theater of the Arts. All family members and friends of family are welcome. There will be a small reception at the VIC after the ceremony.

VDLP High School Graduation will be on May 24th at 4:00 p.m. at the Vail Theater of the Arts. This will be VIC’s first graduating class. Please join us for the celebration!

The Rita Ranch Community Garden, located at 7471 S. Houghton Rd.We will be having a plant sale this Saturday, May 4th from 8am-noon.

When things are bad, there is a strong desire to help… to be supportive. When Cal announced his diagnosis, two members of our Vail family designed and purchased 2000 bracelets, one for every Vail staff member, that say “Mr. Baker, no one fights alone.” Many of us are also aware of others within our school family or personal family who are struggling with difficult medical issues.

In Vail, NO ONE FIGHTS ALONE! When things are bad, there is a strong desire to help… to be supportive. Many of us are  aware of community members within our school family or personal family who are struggling with difficult medical issues.

WEB – Next year WEB students will be coming home with applications and beginning to plan our new student orientation for the 19-20 school year. Ask your student if they are a WEB Leader.

May 17th Field Trip – Our final field trip of the year will be creating pottery. Tucson Clay Co-op will be allowing students to use a pottery wheel, to create individual and group pots. If students wish to have their pot fired, it will be a cost of $5. All students with a C or better in each class and in good citizenship standing by May 10th will be eligible to attend.

Yearbook Signing Party will be on May 20th. All students are invited to enjoy a music filled atmosphere and spend some time reminiscing while signing each other’s yearbooks after lunch.

8th Grade Trip will be on May 21st to Gravity Extreme Zone in Mesa. All 8th grade students who have passing grades and a 3 or 4 in citizenship in all classes by May 17th will be eligible to attend. Permission slips will be handed out the week of May 6th.

May 22nd and May 23rd will be 1/2 days. Students will be dismissed at 12:30. May 23rd is the last day of school for students.
