Attendance Is Important

As the second quarter continues, please keep in mind that attendance each day is a large part of your student’s success. All students should do their best to be present each Monday through Friday.

Awards Assembly – Our First Quarter Awards will be celebrated on Thursday, November 21st at 9:00. Please join us! Students will be recognized for academic, improvement, attendance and other achievements.

Science Fair – All students participating in the science fair will be traveling net Friday to the discover STEM related activities, achievements and discoveries. Please ask Ms. Rozo for more details.

Field Trip

There may be a change in the field trip destination due to transportation. Students will be notified with a new form if that occurs. I apologize for the last minute information.

Whispers Ranch Sanctuary will be our next field trip on November 22nd! Permission Slips will be handed out next week. The cost will be $5.00.

The Sanctuary offers children a special program called Forever HERO (Humane Education for Retirement Options), a program that aims to teach children that animals are not disposable objects but rather amazing beings who have many special abilities even if they can no longer be ridden.  Children and guests visiting the Sanctuary can meet the animals, hear their stories, and learn about good stewardship.

Students must be in good citizenship standing, have their Edgenuity completed and all grades at 70% by November 15th in order to be eligible to attend.

5th Annual Thanksgiving Dinner for Lunch will be on Tuesday, November 26th from 12:00-2:00. Our students will be having a Thanksgiving dinner together, enjoying a dessert baking contest and participating in a turkey trot this year! We are asking that each student bring a favorite Thanksgiving dish or beverage. All parents are welcome to join us as well! Sign up here.

If your student will be participating in the dessert baking contest, they will need to bring their entry in on November 26th before noon. All desserts for the contest must be home made and not need refrigeration. There will be a winner for each: cake, pie, cookie, dessert. We are looking forward to tasting all of the creations!

7th Grade Students will be applying their knowledge of the Revolutionary War at our Wax Museum evening! Please join us for this special event.
