Weekly Update September 9, 2019

Teacher/Parent/Student Conferences
Conferences are scheduled on September 12th and 13th.   Students will be released at 12:30pm on Thursday, September 12th.  There will be no school on Friday, September 13th.

The Conference schedule is as follows:
Thursday, September 12th         1:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Friday, September 13th              9:00-12:00 p.m. and 1:00-3:00 p.m.
Parents are invited to schedule a conference time. We look forward to meeting with you during conference times. Students are highly encouraged to attend with you. Teacher/Parent/Student conferences are extremely important as they provide the opportunity for you, your child, and your child’s teachers to meet and review your student’s progress.  If you are unable to attend conferences during these times, please contact your child’s teacher via e-mail or phone to arrange for another opportunity to meet.

High School Students!

There are a few college representative dates coming up at Empire High School.

Sept. 10th from 8:40- 9:30 there will be a college tour at EHS. All 10th grade students are invited to join this tour. We will be taking students over at 8:30 if they are available and interested.

Diaper Drive

It’s here!  The Diaper Drive  continues through September 17th.  Each 1st period class will be competing against each other for a doughnut party, trophy, and bragging rights!  Grade level competitions have begun! Donate diapers for those in need! This year we are in need of both children and adult diapers. 8th grade is currently ahead with 120 diapers. Our goal this year is 2000.

Kitt Peak will be our next field trip destination on September 20th. All students must have a grade of 70% or better, be in good citizenship standing and complete their Edgenuity by September 13th in order to be eligible. Permission slips will be handed out next week. The cost is $5.00.

Fall Break is approaching. There will be no school from September 23rd- October 4th. Report Cards will be emailed on September 20th for Quarter 1. Have a great break!
